As is now tradition as well thirteen years, from 2ND to June 4TH 2017 there will be the usual edition of the Palio del Chiaretto in Bardolino, a small town on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. The entire area, as it is fairly well known, hosts the production of important wines such as Bardolino and Chiaretto, the protagonists of this event every year.
For three days, the lake promenade Riva Cornicello will be dyed pink, welcoming some of the most representative wineries of the area, which will give the public a tasting of Chiaretto DOC, Chiaretto Classico DOC and Chiaretto Spumante DOC. Obviously there will be lots of food stands, which will offer typical products of this side of Lake Garda.
A must-see event for fans and connoisseurs of Italian food and wine culture, but also for tourists who are looking for an absolutely spectacular event: floral arrangements, decorations and stands of pink that color the whole country, just as a tribute to the characteristic color of this pinkish variant of the Bardolino wine. But the Chiaretto is not just a food and drink event, it hosts also live concerts, art installations, DJ sets, sports and recreational activities. Like every year, it will be held here the National Dragon Boat Race: Historic boats with a dragon-like head and tail are rowed by twenty rowers to the rhythm of the drums.
