In 1898 began the modern scaligera trade fair: the first edition of the Horses and Agriculture Fair.
From Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 October the annual and famous Fiera Cavalli will be held in Verona.
Always a point of reference in the breeding and marketing of equine breeding products, Verona is the first historic landmark in 1772, when Bibbiena designed and followed the construction of the first trade fair for horses, mules, donkeys and bardotes. For more than 100 years there were horse racing competitions with a relative market of the best specimens, to the fateful stage of 1898. That year began the modern scaligera trade fair: the first edition of the Horses and Agriculture Fair. From a simple equinox market it has undergone an exponential development over the years, becoming officially the 1950 International Fair and becoming a leading equestrian show of the world equestrian. On the other hand, Verona, by geographic location, is at the center of the commercial carriers connecting the major European markets and is still today a neuralgic point of smashing goods and people.
This 119th edition of the event features several events suitable for big and small; no doubt worthy of note are the Westernshow, to enjoy the western ambience and live four days of cowboys between competitions, shows, demonstrations and much fun; the 17th edition of Jumping Verona, the only Italian stage in the Longines FEI World Cup; the return of the Arabian Horse in the new location at Hall 9 with the European Championship of Morphology labeled ANICA (Italian National Association of Arabian Horse) and without forgetting the Fieracavalli Grand Prize reserved for Arab purebred born and raised in Italy; and not least the Dressage KUR.
There will be also the presence of Valentina Truppa, award-winning Olympic athlete, who is also involved with three other amateurs on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 October.
