Verona, between Christmas cribs and Christmas markets
Verona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has always been a meeting point for culture and traditions, and is preparing to give this year one of the most beautiful Italian scenery to be missed for next Christmas.
The entrance to the city will be illuminated by hundreds of lights (creating a Champs Elysees effect), going on all the streets of the Old Town, and arriving in the splendid Piazza Bra, with the background of the Roman Arena and the imposing Christmas star rests on the square.
From 17 November to 26 December, 2017, the Piazza dei Signori will host for the tenth consecutive year, the characteristic wooden houses of the Christmas Market in Verona, in collaboration with the "Christkindlmarkt", more than 30 exhibitors will offer typical traditional handicraft products such as glass or wood decorations and pottery, many gift ideas as well as gastronomic specialties and delicious Christmas cakes. Visit the Christmas Market in Verona means diving into the magical tradition of Veronese Christmas; so immerse yourself in a fairy-tale atmosphere, where Juliet and Romeo, in this city of love, can kiss under the mistletoe held by Dante's hand.
