The event, which coincides with the 45th Festival of Chestnuts, will be extended for three weekends - October 21-22, October 28 and 29, and November 4 and 5, with a special day on November 1st. Strong part of the Festival remains the market of flavors, where you can taste the San Zeno Brown D.O.P. in all the many dresses and recipes. The most characteristic feature is that of the brown minestrone, rustic and tasty, the protagonist of the traditional prize that will be awarded at the closing of the event. Chestnut is a typical fruit of the autumn season. They are a high-energy food, useful in autumn and winter to recover strength and contain important fibers for intestinal activity. In the kitchen are a delicious food, the roasted chickens for example, which are traditionally prepared with a wood-burning fireplace or grate. That of San Zeno di Montagna is a boon to the entire territory of Verona because it was the first brown to obtain the DOP recognition and is now the first Consortium that will be able to boast bio certification for almost the entire product.
